The HK3 is a continuous NIR reflection measurement for fat
and/or water with illumination infrared LEDs. The
LED-NIR-Spectrometer HK3 is a modular unit. Evaluation and
sensor system are mounted in different housings. This makes the
installation very flexible.
The evaluation takes place in different peak areas. The distance
between sensor system and product is approx. 200mm.
The measured values are available as digital RS232 (or optional
RS485) output and analog value.
Advantages
In contrast to conventional IR- or NIR-systems of the
competition, the HK3 is not equipped with color filters or
halogen bulbs. The used LED illumination ensures an improved
stability with a lifetime of 10 years.
Measurement Design
The sensor system is located 200mm over the top of the
product surface. The product surface can be smooth and
planar, but also bulk material. The products (i.e.
cement, plastic granulate) are moving on a conveyor belt
under the sensor system. The environment has to be
dust-free.
Calibration
The calibration of the HK3 is done with our easy to use
Specter3
software.

NIR-H2O-Meter
Range of Application
Infrared measurement in the range of NIR for the detection of only H2O
(moisture, water content, total/dry solids) in products on conveyor belts.
The meter is sufficient for products with a smooth and planar surface as
well as for abrasive bulk material.
Principle
This infrared measurement technique irradiates the surface of the product
with illumination from infrared LEDs.
The measured data, generated by reflection, are evaluated by the HK7 system.
The evaluation detects every H2O molecule, with an absorption
line in the spectrum of measurement
Functionality
Continuous NIR reflection measurement with infrared LEDs. The
NIR-H2O-Meter is a compact unit, evaluation and sensor system are mounted in
the same housing.
The evaluation takes place in the peak areas as follows: 970, 1200, 1800 and
2200 nm. The distance between sensor system and product is approx. 200mm.
The measured value of the H2O content is available as digital and
analogue value.
